Spider Vein Treatment

Spider veins are treated without surgery in our Boca Raton office. 

Laser therapy of spider veins
Using the laser to collapse very fine spider veins on any area of the body is a simple procedure using the Dornier laser system. For sensitive areas, a topical anesthetic is used, and this is often combined with the injection sclerotherapy for optimal outcomes.  Dr. Kimmel can perform the therapy on all skin types.

Treatments are 20-30 minutes and our patients have very little discomfort. Most are able resume normal activities the same day. 

Sclerotherapy

This is the most common treatment for both spider veins and varicose veins. Dr. Kimmel will inject a solution into the vein that causes the vein walls to swell, stick together, and seal shut. This stops the flow of blood and the vein turns into scar tissue. In a few weeks, the vein should fade. The same vein may need to be treated more than once.
